Wiawaka Artists in Residence
Artists in Residence Week will take place from July 7th- July 13th, 2025.
Years before Yaddo began operating as an artists’ retreat at Spencer and Katrina Trask’s property, the couple built Wakonda Lodge and hosted artists from the Art Students League of New York. Young artists, such as Georgia O’Keeffe, spent summers painting at Wiawaka. In the summer of 2016, we continued that tradition by hosting talented artists who took up “residence” in Wakonda. We have been welcoming a talented group of artists since.

Artist in Residence Art Exhibit & Sale
July 11th, 12th and 13th, 2025
The public is invited to the 8th Annual Artist in Residence
Exhibit and Sale which will feature the work of women
artists who join us from throughout the Northeast.
Artists will have work that has been completed on site at
Wiawaka as well as pieces from their collection.
The art, which features originals and prints will be on sale.
The artists donate 25% of the proceeds back to Wiawaka.
The exhibit will open with a reception on
Friday, July 11th from 5-7 p.m. and will continue
through Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm.
