Come discover how God courts our hearts every moment of the day as well as in His larger plan for our lives. Learn about a number of Biblical women who are true examples of what being courted by God looks like. Our lifelong experience of Jesus is a courtship of our hearts.
In our time together we will explore ways in which we can worship and adore Jesus as our partner in this courtship. This will happen as Jesus reveals His heart, drawing us into a loving relationship that grows and lasts forever.
The retreat will feature Nancy Heche, a popular Bible study teacher, author, and speaker. She holds a masters and doctorate degree in pastoral counseling and is the author of The Truth Comes Out. Dr. Heche lives in Chicago. (www.harvesthousepublishers.com)
Nancy would describe herself as a people person. She says that her “life experience” with children, grandchildren and a new great grandson has taken her places she never would have dreamed! She has spent many years counseling, teaching and sharing the love and beauty of the triune God with men and women who are yearning for a more intimate relationship and knowledge of him. She has worked in education, corporate America, the nonprofit world and the creative world of quilt making and design. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are in education and psychotherapy. One of her life scripture verses is from the story of Esther in the Old Testament, “…who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this.”
Mother Jean DeVaty, of St. James’ Episcopal Church in Lake George will facilitate the retreat, which begins on Friday, June 2, 2017.
