The 2019 Ladies of the Lake Luncheon was held on June 17th at the Lake George Club in Diamond Point. Over 175 people attended this event, which is Wiawaka’s major fundraiser. Due to the generous donations to our silent auction and the attendance of so many Wiawaka raised just over $16,000. The proceeds from the luncheon support the mission and preservation of Wiawaka. Thank you to all who attended, donated, volunteered and supported us.
One of the highlights of the luncheon is the presentation of two awards, The Mary Fuller Women Helping Women Award and the Spirit of Wiawaka Award.
In keeping with the vision of Mary Fuller, Wiawaka Center for Women, annually recognizes a person or an organization that exemplifies direct service to and impact on local women with the Mary Fuller Women Helping Women Award.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or find the link for 2020-Mary-Fuller-Award-Women-Helping-Women-Form here.
The second award, theSpirit of Wiawaka Award, is given to an individual who not only understands the mission of Wiawaka and shows dedication to support the organization through their service.

After the busy shopping days of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday comes #givingtuesday, a time to think of making a donation to non-profit organizations. Wiawaka has set a goal of $500 to be raised on #givingtuesday!
Why donate? Wiawaka is the oldest continually running women’s retreat center in the country and offers a restorative and unique experience for all women. Though unique and relevant programming, individual and group retreats, community events and relaxation opportunity Wiawaka meets the needs of today’s woman. Our guests leave feeling refreshed and ready to take on the many duties they face in their everyday life. Many of our programs also address specific groups including mothers who lost a child, female veterans, cancer survivors, caregivers, overworked professionals, women in need, widows, and those battling illness.
Wiawaka is an historic property, with buildings that are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is a big undertaking to keep up with the maintenance required to preserve such a large historic site. Not only is there much upkeep to do but efforts to expand and update our existing space is also a great need.
Your donation will help Wiawaka as we embrace our future and provide women with an opportunity for enrichment, inspiration and relaxation and preserve beautiful historic structures. Please support us on Giving Tuesday!
